Transient Stability Analysis:

For power systems including in-plant generation, maintaining system stability during transient disruptions becomes a concern. A transient stability study will indicate the ability of synchronous machines to remain in sync and will indicate the ability of induction motors to maintain the appropriate torque to carry load, thus maintaining operations during disruptions. Transient stability studies can also simulate the dynamic behavior of the power system during motor starts.
